(Zero spoiler review) 2。75I love absolutely everything about this series, except for its execution。 Of course, execution is everything。 The greatest idea in the world means little if you can't pull it off, and what we have here is unfortunately, a wonderful idea, that the author seems incapable of pulling off, at least as far as I'm concerned anyway。 I've no doubt remarked before that a bunch of smouldering ladies with big ass swords going around killing demons is mana from heaven for me。 Unless (Zero spoiler review) 2。75I love absolutely everything about this series, except for its execution。 Of course, execution is everything。 The greatest idea in the world means little if you can't pull it off, and what we have here is unfortunately, a wonderful idea, that the author seems incapable of pulling off, at least as far as I'm concerned anyway。 I've no doubt remarked before that a bunch of smouldering ladies with big ass swords going around killing demons is mana from heaven for me。 Unless of course, the story is a disappointing, underinflated sack of wet socks。 The author has little idea when it comes to creating tension, building character motivation, beyond its most simple forms, and creating a world rich in history and lore。 The Yoma's are a total mystery, and as of volume four, are nothing but faceless baddies that offer little interest, and simply soak up page after page with meaningless action。 Write some interesting lore and get me invested in these creatures, because right now, I just don't care about them。 I thought, for a brief moment, that we would have an interesting, suspenseful premise within this arc, although its execution is so average, that I couldn't help but shake my head and wish a better writer helmed this series。 My kingdom for a decent writer to accompany this interesting premise。 The dialogue is light in this arc, and far too many pages are taken up with vague, unappealing action that is difficult to follow。 I'm struggling to adjust to the traditional tonkabon sized paperbacks。 Some of the art is pretty neat, although its tiny size is a big detractor。 All complaints aside, it was better than some of the previous issues。 I can only hope it continues to build, and we eventually get to a point where the writing doesn't make me too sad to enjoy this series for what it is, rather than what it isn't。 2。75/5OmniBen。 。。。more

Actual rating: Definitely a 5/5, but I should note there are some parts that dip to 4。5/5 at times。

Oh Teresa! That's what you get for acting in the heat of the moment! Personally I don't blame you two ways to Sunday but repercussions are repercussions!(view spoiler)[The dafty threw a wobbly and killed a bunch of bandits, officially putting her on the Claymore hit list as Claymore’s are forbidden to kill humans。 Very understandable why she went bonkers, but she didn’t have to kill anyone, she has the talent to maim the lot of them。 That way revenge is served delightfully cold AND she wouldn’t Oh Teresa! It might be overkill but at least there would be a kill…) Mind you they’re making a fuss over Priscilla, so who knows?Crumbs this thing is suspenseful!!Oooh and lots of spraying blood in this one – PSSSSHT!!! – all over the place, and in the last few chapters I could almost HEAR the swords clanging! 。。。more

Some low-life bandits attack a small village in revenge of Teresa not taking their shit, but among Claymores, they have a rule: to not attack humans, only yoma, not even if the humans are scumb like these men。She breaks this rule and kills them all so she could save Clare once again。 She’s taking care of her, as if she were her little sister, so she doesn’t regret giving her life if that means she can be safe。 Now, the organization sends the claymores ranked from #2 to #5, and so, we have really Some low-life bandits attack a small village in revenge of Teresa not taking their shit, but among Claymores, they have a rule: to not attack humans, only yoma, not even if the humans are scumb like these men。She breaks this rule and kills them all so she could save Clare once again。 She’s taking care of her, as if she were her little sister, so she doesn’t regret giving her life if that means she can be safe。 Now, the organization sends the claymores ranked from #2 to #5, and so, we have really cool scenes of Teresa fighting against the other 4 claymores。 We also get a little bit information about them and their special abilities。 Truth be told, these volumes are far too short, or perhaps that’s because the chapters are filled with action scenes。 Either way, I can’t wait to read the next!PREVIOUS REVIEWS:Volume 1 | Volume 2 | Volume 3 。。。more

This is a review of the entire series。In a dark fantasy world overrun by shape-shifting demons called Yoma, a mysterious organization has created half-breed warriors called Claymores to combat the monsters terrorizing the world。 The story centers around a Claymore named Clare, a determined woman who seeks revenge against the Yoma that killed the person she loved and admired most。 On her journey of revenge, she slowly unravels the horrifying mysteries surrounding the origins of the Yoma, the shad This is a review of the entire series。In a dark fantasy world overrun by shape-shifting demons called Yoma, a mysterious organization has created half-breed warriors called Claymores to combat the monsters terrorizing the world。 The story centers around a Claymore named Clare, a determined woman who seeks revenge against the Yoma that killed the person she loved and admired most。 On her journey of revenge, she slowly unravels the horrifying mysteries surrounding the origins of the Yoma, the shady organization that created her, as well as the true meaning of her own existence。When I first started reading, the story instantly gave me Vampire Hunter D, The Witcher and Berserk vibes, only this time it featured a captivating and sympathetic female lead named Clare。 We don't know that much about her at first, but beneath her stoic and determined facade is a struggling little girl with a tragic backstory of loss and a painful drive of revenge interfering with her ability to live a normal life。 Despite her cold and sometimes monstrous demeanor, Clare has a big soft spot for humanity despite the blood of demons running through her veins。 She's chilling, badass and most importantly, sympathetic。Over the course of the series, we meet dozens of amazing female warriors, each with their own unique powers, personalities, demonic transformations and interactions with Clare。 Theresa of the Faint Smile who serves as a motherly role model for Clare was my favorite character in the story, and I ended up being impressed by the sheer amount of badass, likable female warriors that were introduced later on in the series that I ended up growing attached to as well。 It's not too often you see dark fantasy or sword & sorcery series where 99% of the main cast are well-written female warriors。Some plot points get a bit messy in the second half of the series, but the action, characters, horror and monsters never stop being thrilling and it also has a very satisfying conclusion despite having a few road bumps along the way。 It's a great series if you enjoy the Conan-esque monster of the week formula with added layers of mystery and emotion。***My Social MediaMy YouTube Channel: https://www。youtube。com/channel/UCPPs。。。My Instagram Account: https://www。instagram。com/michael_sor。。。My Wattpad Account: https://www。wattpad。com/user/Michael-。。。My Twitter Account: https://twitter。com/SorbelloHorrorMy Facebook Account: https://www。facebook。com/michael。sorb。。。 。。。more

Damn, so there is a hard cut moment where this series goes from passable to really fricken good, and it is when the bandits charge past Teresa。 Everything from that moment on gets me hyped as much or more than any other really good manga I've read before。 The art has continued to improve, especially on the townfolk, or rather, most notably on them, but it has improved across the board, and the way he really nails the look that goes with personality of the new Claymores is downright commendable。 Damn, so there is a hard cut moment where this series goes from passable to really fricken good, and it is when the bandits charge past Teresa。 Everything from that moment on gets me hyped as much or more than any other really good manga I've read before。 The art has continued to improve, especially on the townfolk, or rather, most notably on them, but it has improved across the board, and the way he really nails the look that goes with personality of the new Claymores is downright commendable。 This is maybe the fastest paced volume so far, and it really suited it。 Finally finishing this manga just went from "something to do" to "something I am really excited to do。" 。。。more

Oh, the things we do for love! Speaking of love, I really love the complexity of certain characters。 I love how the mangaka tries to delve into the nature vs。 nature of a claymore。
